- Deactivate GPS (and wifi gps)
- Deactivate auto backup of Gmail account
- Set wifi sleep policy to “when screen is off”
- Set brightness level to automatic
- Disable motion
Running this firmware.
Rooted with siyah 3.4.1
Everything works fine and here is what changes from 4.0.3 roms (from what i have noticed), for all just curious users like me:
- whole UI is smooth (maybe a placebo)
- improved notification dropdown
- improved lock ring circle animation
- now dialer has contacts link button and we miss the scroll animation when switch the tabs
- missing local search
- pressing back button we have a tick effect (like it)
- reworked browser now it shows haw many tabs are opened
- now we can disable "swipe screen to unlock" from settings
- TW4 seems to be locked in memory : if you clear ram it won't close ( if i remember well with previous firmware the launcher redraws)
- pressing home button seems to have NOT lag at all (some one else can confirm)
- using Twungstwenty (sorry if i wrote the name wrong, bro ) fix for camera (thanks him) camera preview and videoplayback work well
- no change in brightness when sliding the top of screen
- EDIT: OMG!! from display settings here come the battery %!!!
@SAMSUNG give proper credit to developers, here
And again... Siyah kernel is safe, for my experience: i have tried all kind of wipe in recovery and made a backup, NO PROBLEM AT ALL
.....and my chip is INSANE.
Cheers
